Our Passion is People

What sets Five Foot Five Productions apart as a production company is our understanding that people are everything. It is not only the telling of the story or the creation of the visual image that we find rewarding and which ultimately manifests in compelling work, but it is the relationships we forge throughout the process that make each project exceptional.

For almost ten years, Five Foot Five has been honing its passion for people by developing lasting relationships with our unusually diverse and eclectic portfolio of clients, subjects and crews. From world renowned medical researchers to orthodox monks in Transylvania, from Icelandic pageant models to obsessive VW fanatics in South Carolina, from NBA All-stars to street corner stickball champs in the Bronx, we've connected with them all in an effort to understand more about the people with whom we share our world. Moreover, Five Foot Five has brought these extraordinary people to the attention of viewing audiences around the globe who have met them with that same curiosity and affinity.

Technologies are more instant and ephemeral than ever and Five Foot Five has been in the vanguard of employing these new communications technologies since our founding in 2001. However, in the end it is always about the people; no matter what, no matter where and no matter how tall they might be. Welcome to Five Foot Five!

Patrick Gallo Patrick Gallo - Director
Has spent the entirety of his film & television career in New York City. Not surprising, as he is a Queens native and an Adelphi graduate. Pat has worked on numerous projects for USA Network, The Hallmark Channel, and FX. Since forming Five Foot Five Productions in 2001 with Dwight Grimm, Pat has created and directed a short web series for Will Ferrell's "Funny or Die", has been the Director of Photography for two feature length documentaries, and has completed projects for some of the world's top pharmaceutical companies. Pat almost froze to death while working alongside Mr. Grimm on an early morning winter shoot on the shores of Lac Saint-Louis in Montreal. He strongly considered "cutting Grimm open like a Tauntaun" and sleeping inside of him to keep warm. He is 5'6".
